I started this alphabet exercise as a way to get me to add more consistency to my work. The funny thing is that there is no consistency in style across all the pieces. Despite that, it did allow me to feel which styles I resonated with more, observe how people react to my art, and also discover some of the ways I hold myself back. Telling myself to commit to this exercise whether or not I wanted to do it that day helped me a little in managing my insecurities. As a result, I've seen this positive effect spread into other areas of my life like committing to exercising daily. Even though it is unsure of how much this positive change has indeed taken effect, I’m still glad I did it. We all struggle internally, and people’s circumstances require unique approaches. Unexpectedly this just happened to become one for me.
