Go Vote 2018

I feel that this year’s midterm election is one of the most important in our history. I am liberal. I understand that one’s political party preference does not reflect the nuanced personal values and views of a particular person. I often watch a lot of documentaries that sort of make you feel like you really can’t help the state of nation, but despite that I still believe that we as a people are capable of great change and one way to see that happen is through voting.

Throughout history, many progressive movements have faced great oppositions and yet they prevailed in the face of adversity.

This may be corny, but in the movie Mulan, the emperor says…

“A single grain of rice can tip the scale. One man may be the difference between victory and defeat.”

One vote has that much power and I think people should remember that.
